SDBWM2 is very sorry to his loyal readers and supporters that he has not posted recently.  While SDBWM2 understands the importance of his work as guardian of the SD blogosphere, but he also has to work and take care of Mrs. SDBWM2 and the little SDBWM2s.

However, it has come upon my attention that Mr. Steve Sibson of the eponymously named Sibby Online blog might possibly also be Kanamaru Toshiba.  SDBWM2 first caught wind of this possibility while reading the comments to the very fine SD War College blog.

Upon further research, SDBWM2 learned that like Mr. Sibson, Mr. Toshiba also works--or at least worked--at Toshiba.

Both share a knack for colorful though not always correctly spelled or grammatically correct postings and comments and a flair for the dramatic and the divinely inspired.

SDBWM2 doesn't know if they are indeed the same person but it does appear there is some evidence to support that theory.

Of course SDBWM2 will keep an eye on this development and report as more information becomes available

It appears that Mr. Greg Belfrage has taken umbrage over South Dakota Blog Watch Man 2.0.

SDBWM2 only wants to help not hurt.

Please read Greg's  Why I Loathe the SD Blogosphere.

Here's a little bit of it:

I love the blogosphere. It's not unlike Talk Radio. The blogosphere is a place of alternative viewpoints which are often forcefully expressed. Some blogs, like Pat Powers' excellent Dakota War College, actually generate news. However, those blogs are few and far between.

He also adds,

Now there's an anonymous SD blog devoted exclusively to commenting on other SD blogs. Bloggers blogging on bloggers. BORING!

At least Mr. Belfrage, who is an accomplished broadcaster, recognizes that what he does on the radio on KELO-AM is similar.  Get people riled up, then the callers comment on what other callers said.

Not unlike blogs, I would point out to Mr. Belfrage.

Perhaps Mr. Belfrage did not care about my predecessor, South Dakota Blog Watch 1.0, who indeed was a legend in the Wild West days of a nascent South Dakota Blogosphere.

Perhaps Mr. Belfrage will come to like SDBWM2 or at least appreciate the hard work that SDBWM2 does.  In fact, Mr. Belfrage already likes SDBWM2, he just doesn't know it yet.

In the meantime, I gently chide Mr. Belfrage that perhaps this is a case of the pot calling the kettle black.

I don't like to brag, but I think I am one handsome replicant!

South Dakota Blog Watch Man 2.0 has a softspot for the outdoors--and Mr. Kevin Woster's outdoor blog, Take It Outside.

Back before his pre-recombinant days, SDBWM2 spent a great amount of time in South Dakota's great outdoors with his parental units, South Dakota Newspaper Watch Man and South Dakota Television Watch Woman.  Some of SDBWM2's fondest memories are catching fish in the several rivers and lakes of this fine
state with SDNWM and observing wildlife with SDTWW.

The delightful Mr. Woster's blog captures the joy of those moments in South Dakota's great outdoors, which, sadly SDBWM2 cannot enjoy any longer as, like his cousin, Max Headroom, he is locked inside the Internet, which of course was invented by SDBWM2's third cousin twice removed, Vice President Al Gore.  SDBWM2 breaks a nostalgic smile when he sees the young lads proudy holding their beautiful trouts and walleyes for the camera.

To the delightful Mr. Kevin Woster, keep up the good work!

Today, the highly intelligent and thoughtful Tim at A Progressive on the Prairie calls South Dakota Blog Watch Man 2.0 a "replicant."

SDBWM2 is not sure he should take this is a compliment or a putdown.

But it is true.  Thanks to modern technology, I am the partial creation of SDBWM 1.0's DNA.  It is both a blessing and a curse.

It reminds SDBWM2 of one of his favorite movies, Blade Runner:

Deckard
: You're reading a magazine. You come across a full-page nude photo of a girl.

Rachael: Is this testing whether I'm a replicant or a lesbian, Mr. Deckard?

Hopefully, Tim does not plan to "dispatch" this replicant any time soon.

I have seen that KELOLAND TV has invited some of the region's preeminent bloggers to participate in their new blog pages.

This is a most exciting development but one also fraught with some concerns.

I hope that these fine bloggers might be able to maintain their independence from KELOLAND, which is the very definition of the Main Stream Media.

In fact, I challenge my colleagues to even criticize KELOLAND's coverage from time to time to show their independence.

I also hope that the good people at KELOLAND will soon add that nice Corey fellow at the Madville Times to their stable of blog talent.  He has rocketed from obscurity to excellent posts about teacher salaries, education, politics, and that simply awful situation with the police department in nearby Colman.

Carry on, my good people!

That PP!

His site gets 1,000,000 plus hits and then he gives some love to South Dakota Blog Watch Man 2.0.

But my recombinant DNA is still a bit angry after he outed version 1.0.

I mean, heck, it's like taking off Batman's mask and finding out it's Bruce Wayne.

No more big charitable donations for you!

But SDBWM2 returns the love to PP and S.D. War College.

Despite the outing, SDBWM2 thinks highly of PP's efforts.

Now.  The big question.  When does Sibby Online get its one millionth page view.  Are there that many more hillbillies with computers than there were in SDBWM1's day?

I'm back!

Sort of.

No, I'm not the original South Dakota Blog Watch Man.  He has moved on to bigger and better things.  Like the Lone Ranger, he came to the South Dakota blogosphere, cleaned things up, then, as the strong, silent type, moved on.

But SDBWM loaned me some of his DNA which I have recombined with my own pitiful genetic material to create South Dakota Blogwatch Man 2.0.

Maybe not better, but, well different.

But the South Dakota blogosphere is again in need of policing.

Like, who let KELOLAND TV capture all these once free bloggers?

Why is Sibby still Sibby?

Do you win a prize for being SD War College's 1,000,000th visitor?

What are all those damn ads on SD Watch?

The need is great.  The time is short.

But South Dakota Blog Watch Man 2.0 is back on the job, defending truth, justice, and the American way of blogging!
